Valentines '09

For Valentine's, I made sugar cookies the night before and invited Capsons and Tuttles over to help us frost them. I get very into holidays I think because my mom always made holidays really special and fun growing up. Sarah was at a concert with some girlfriends so she came late. We had to make do with my homemade frosting that wasn't quite solid enough. We were squeezing it out through a hole cut out of the corner of ziplock baggies, but that made it all the more fun!

Yes, it was a contest. And yes, I believe Ry won :)
On actual Valentine's morning, I made Ryan a breakfast of quiche and cheese blintzes. Will got me some beautiful tulips and a giant Hershey kiss. I had told Ryan earlier in the month that I wanted chocolate for Valentine's, since they say you are supposed to just come out and tell guys and not hint to them. My dad always gave me and my sister chocolate for Valentine's. So I thought I guess this is my chocolate. I thought a giant Hershey kiss would not have been my first choice, but at least he listened. Well, I should have known better because later in the day I came into the kitchen to find a box of See's truffles from Ryan this time. To die for!! Haha my sweet husband isn't too dense after all :) The bottom right hand picture is the aftermath of Will testing out some of mommy's truffles.

Day at the Museum

Back in February we made a play date to go hang out with Jacquelynn and little Anna, and she told me about this cool children's museum up in Ogden that would be fun to take the kids to. I went a little picture crazy because Will was being so adorable. He loved that everything was his size, and I could not have been happier that he was getting pure Will time. I remember this being one of the first times I took him to do something entertaining out in public that was all about him, since before they walk really securely there aren't many places to take them to.

Left- Those eyes are going to be heartbreakers someday! They already are for mommy!; Top Right-Yes, he loved riding on the lion. No, he didn't love crazy mom dressing him up in some funky costume.; Bottom Right- He LOVED toothbrushes at this age, so wasnt it just perfect that they had a huge one, and he even got to brush someone else's teeth and wasn't forced to do his own! (we also find him once again Asian squatting)
Top Left-loved the pint-sized bench he claimed as his own. If I recall correctly I had to rip him away from it to move on; Top Right-thought this huge map was as fun to run across as the gym floor at church; Bottom Left-step aside Obama, I'll take it from here; Bottom Right-Remember what I said about crazy mom dressing him up?
Left-Anna and Will off to fight some fires; Top Right-little Will-sized people that he can knock over without consequence!; Bottom Right-Novelty wears thin and Will is ready for a long ride home!

I know I said in starting this blog that it would not be a Will-only site. Having said that, I did mostly create it to post pics of Will for my mom and Ryan's mom to see, so I have to stay true to that in between all of the other posts :)
