I have been trying to post pictures chronologically starting at the beginning of this year, and although I haven't quite caught up to real time yet, I had to post these pics from yesterday as I am so excited about my second half marathon!
This was the Salt Lake City Marathon/Half Marathon that started at the U of U and ended at the Gateway. There were over 5,000 runners at the starting line. It was utter chaos, but sheer excitement! My finishing time was 2:12:05. Although that's not amazing, I was very happy that it was faster than my last half!

This was about mile 8, the first spot that Ryan and Will stopped at to cheer me on and take my gloves and shirt off my hands! Left-me waving goodbye to little Will as I hurry on my way; Top Right-one more goodbye from the sea of runners; Bottom Right-me looking retarded trying to quickly get my shirt off after it caught on my iPod.

Post race celebration! This was my cheering squad. Top left-mom wants a pic with her little boy and all he cares about is the chocolate milk; Bottom Left-my brother Joey came to cheer me on; Middle-it is so fun to cross the finish line and see your little boy (and big boy too, Ry) waiting right there for you; Right-the whole fam

The taste of victory! These guys ran the full marathon, and since the full and the half started together I was able to run the first 4 miles with them, which totally helped my pace. I ran my first half last year with Saffron. She is my running companion/one of my best friends, even though she ditched me to run a full marathon! Left-me, Tyler's sister Emily, Saffron, Tyler; Top Right-those guys rounding the last corner before the finish line!; Bottom Right-about mile 22 where we waited to cheer them on after I finished my race. Ryan ran about 100 yards with them in his flip flops.

After the race, Ryan and Will went up to help his mom with her sprinklers while I went home to spend some relaxation time alone. Will loves his new gardening tools that grandma got him for Easter. He is definitely his father's son! Top Left-hmmm...dirt on the mouth...did that taste good, Will?; Top Right-look at that concentration!; Bottom Left-Will "Asian squatting", as my neighbor, Jen, likes to say; Bottom Right-so proud of himself!

Top Left-Aunt Angie and grandma helped Will get cleaned up after working in the yard, and apparently he was quite intrigued by the watering can; Top Right-his favorite thing to do at grandma's is pound on the piano; Bottom Left-my little Beethoven; Bottom Right-talking on the metronome while turning the page at the same time. I think he's all set to start playing the organ in sacrament meeting!
